What makes data logging with the XP3i better than the XP2i?
We’re glad you asked! The XP3i digital pressure gauge introduces significant advancements over the XP2i, particularly in data capacity, logging speed, cloud integration, and mobile control. Here’s how these improvements translate into greater efficiency, reliability, and usability for your applications.
6250× More Data Storage – Never Worry About Capacity Again
The XP3i increases the data capacity from 32,000 stored points to over 200 million points (6250 times more storage capacity). This huge increase eliminates the capacity concerns for most applications. Never worry if you have enough space left to complete your overnight test. With the XP3i’s capacity, you can stop and start tests for months at a time without thinking about capacity. Once you connect to our cloud service, you can transfer their data to our server (accessible only by your login details), clear your gauge, and start back at 200 million available points.
Faster Data Logging for Capturing Rapid Pressure Changes
The XP3i increases the maximum logging rate to 5 times per second, up from once per second. For applications with rapid pressure differences, this 500% increase in logging rate allows you to gain a more complete picture of your pressure tests. And, because of the large data capacity, you don’t have to worry that an increased logging rate will fill your memory up too fast.
Cloud-Based Data Management with CrystalControlWeb (CCW)
The new cloud service CrystalControlWeb (CCW) provides a whole new way of storing and sharing data than was available with the XP2i. You upload your data from the XP3i, either from the USB connection, or through our mobile app, using the import option in CCW. Once the data is on our server, you gain access to numerous logging features, including naming logging runs, tagging runs, sorting, archiving, creating reports, exporting, and sharing. While naming logging runs is self-explanatory, run tags allow you to add multiple tags to any logging run and then recall previous runs by searching for these tags. This organization option makes it quick and easy to find exactly the logging run you’re looking for.
Another powerful feature is the sharing aspect. CCW uses the idea of organizations to enable sharing of data and reporting. Each user in your company joins the same organization (by invite only) and creates their own login details. This allows a technician to upload their stored run they collected from the field, and this data becomes available to any colleague with access to their CCW organization. They only need to login through any web browser and they have full access to their company’s fleet of gauges.
Full Wireless Control with the CrystalConnect (CC) Mobile App
The new mobile application CrystalConnect (CC) brings full control the XP3i logging situation to the palm of your hand. CC allows users to set logging parameters, start and stop logging runs, and then download data wirelessly from their XP3i. This opens up a world of options to fit your unique situation. But, for some context, here are a few ideas:
1) Control all logging runs from a central location. Jump from gauge to gauge without leaving your chair.
2) Stay in your temperature-controlled vehicle while you drive up to a mounted gauge. Download data and start your next run without leaving your seat – avoiding cold or hot temperatures.
3) Access your XP3i that’s mounted in a hazardous location. Remove all personnel from the area and access the gauge from a safe distance.
4) Read your XP3i that’s mounted in a hard-to-reach location or controlled environment, like a clean room or mounted on a pipe 15 feet from the ground.
We understand that once you've found a gauge that your comfortable with, it can be a hard decision to switch. That's why the XP3i keeps all of the advantages you love about the XP2i, like ease-of-use, reliability, and ruggedness, but adds modern features to further simplify your work.
